Passion for Pouring

Fluid acrylics or pour painting has allowed me to experience true inspiration. I was hooked from my first pour. Art has become a medium for me to connect with people - friends, family, and complete strangers. Sharing art with the world has been an exercise of vulnerability that has brought me immense joy! Join me on my acrylic journey as I explore new color spaces and techniques!

My first art show!

I'm so delighted to share that I recently held my very first art show. The studio where I rent space offered the opportunity and I took it! I only had about two weeks to prepare. It was a lot of work but a super fun experience - deciding what I would display, how it would […]

The Ocean - learning how to make a finished product

The Ocean is a tryptic, non-contiguous, series I poured very early in my painting journey. Pouring this piece pushed me to learn more about creating a finished looking painting, one I would want to hang on a wall. You can see from the video below, there wasn't a lot of method to the pour other […]

Make it Yours

Rainbow at Night - Pair

This set of 2 12inx12in paintings are part of my exploration of the color spectrum. I used a flip cup method with a small amount of silicone on a canvas painted black. The colors, like some of my other works, were inspired by the cover of the book "Aviary."

White - Solstice

Inspired by and created during the Fremont Solstice parade, the name seemed appropriate. I see each piece in this series as different lyrics of the same song. Can you feel the music? This piece is part of a set of four. Each piece can stand alone or be part of a set of 2, 3, […]

Solstice Set

Inspired by and created during the Fremont Solstice parade, the name seemed appropriate. This color space, with aqua, white, yellow ochre/antique gold, and burnt umber, is one of my favorites to explore. I think these pieces work best as a set though I think they would look good on their own or as a set […]

Badlands II

Badlands II is a second piece inspired by my vision of the Badlands National Park in South Dakota. I also challenged myself to create a piece in a landscape aspect. I love how it turned out. A fun fact about this piece is that it will appear in a feature film being made by a […]

Lynx

I'm in love with this piece! It begs to be petted as you walk by. You almost expect to feel the textures created by the paint. The textures give the illusion of the fur from wild cats. Please don't touch it, it might bite!

On Fire

On Fire is meant to represent the base of a flame. The depiction is so realistic that it attracted a little fly which is now fossilized within the painting!

Scorpion

This is a 12x12 piece that I created about a year ago. I love combining Prussian Blue with copper. The colors just work and call my name!
