Charcoal Dreams was one of my first attempts at using the swiping technique. To be honest, I recycled a canvas that I wasn't happy with to create this as a test but I loved the final product so much. It now hangs in my sister's office. I've actually tried to recreate this several times on a clean canvas and have never quite gotten the same hazy, smoky feel of this piece. I also love the spots of gold. Sometimes experiments can produce real gems!
