I've been experimenting with the swipe technique for a little while now. I made these pieces for a friend, intending on doing a Dutch pour but decided to go with a swipe at the last minute - and so glad that I did. I'm sharing a video of the fresh pour and of the dry pieces. These are both 24x20. I went with my favorite Prussian blue (lightened up a bit) and a teal blue with an antique gold. I poured the base color and then drizzled the accent colors before swiping. I don't know what it's like for other artists but I find swiping to be super stressful. If your touch is too light, you don't move the paint well. If your tough is too heavy, you'll scrape the canvas! Either case, I really enjoyed making these pieces.
